Ray Callao se reune por primera vez, en Barcelona, en Septiembre del 2007; sexteto de fusión Afro Latina, de aires frescos . Sus integrantes proceden de distintas partes del mundo, Barcelona,
México, Canarias, Perú...



Van desde el formato acústico con contrabajo, bongó y tres, hasta la formación de pequeña orquestra con 9 integrantes; destacan por su versatilidad y por la facilidad con la cual pasan por
distintos rítmos afrocubanos, sin perder ese sonido tan propio que les caracteriza. Tampoco tienen complejos cuando salen a tocar a la calle ni cuando suben a los escenarios más conocidos de la
ciudad condal, siempre buscan la complicidad del público. La voz callejera, el sonido jazz selvático de la guitarra, los metales explosivos y una sólida base rítmica, proponen una nueva opción
dentro del género y la actual escena musical barcelonesa.

Billy Boyo (born Billy Theophilus Rowe, September 21, Kingston, Jamaica 1969 – October 29, 2000) was a reggae artist, was probably the most prolific of the early-80’s child MC’s. He is famous for
his song "One Spliff a Day".



Billy Boyo was still in his teens when he emerged in the early eighties. In 1983 he (together with Little John and Ranking Toyan) went to London where he linked up with producer Silver Kamel.



Along with the above noted "One Spliff A Day," Billy also charted in 1982 with the Henry Junjo Lawes produced single "Wicked She Wicked." This hit had the added charm of a 13 year old kid-voice
on the mic chanting about a wicked girl.



Billy Boyo wasn't a prolific recording artist as he did not record much before or after the tracks for the first two albums and was maybe more known as a live MC. His musical career was
short-lived and little was heard of him since the second half of the eighties. In the early 1980s rumor spread that Billy Boyo and Little Harry had been shot and killed. However this proved to be
untrue. Billy in fact died of a brain tumor on October 29, 2000 after a two month long struggle to beat the disease.

Dirty bailarina es el cuarto álbum de estudio de Mala Rodríguez.



El título es una especie de personaje conceptual creado por la propia artista. "Es un trabajo de ciencia ficción. El personaje principal es 'Dirty Bailarina', el cual me inspiro mi tataranieta.
La acción transcurre en un tiempo alternativo, solo hay que reflexionar el punto donde estamos, para darnos cuenta hacia donde vamos... En ese lugar arranca el álbum, desde ese marco ella muestra
su música, todo lo que siente y por qué... 'Dirty Bailarina' son palabras que unidas, evocan una imagen concreta. La imagen de una mujer que expresa su arte sin miedo a ensuciarse".



"A medida que iba escuchando los versos y las melodías en mi cabeza... me iba dando cuenta de que Dirty bailarina sería un álbum diferente. He querido mostrar todo lo que tenia en los bolsillos,
la búsqueda del ser es la mayor de las aventuras. Lo más destacable es que además de seguir hablando de lo social, hablo del amor".



"A veces da igual lo que pasa ahí fuera, lo que importa es lo que pasa aquí dentro, es entonces cuando aparecen mensajes universales, transcendentes que nos tocan a todos, como hermanos que
somos, mas allá de la critica consciente o del puro divertimento".



Un disco compuesto por 12 temas, más 1 inédito solo disponible en su edición digital.

I hope the cover, name and preview are enough to convince people to get this, because I really am not sure how to describe it. It’s like, extremely experimental hip-hoppy IDM with an occasional
(and very pretty) female vocalist, but that’s not even close to how it sounds like. I don’t really like using the term, but “avant-garde” is all that I can really think of. All I really know is
that they’re a group of people from Japan who’ve been active since 1999, going through some lineup changes and making some all-around quirky, fun, great music. It’s kind of poppy and mellow
sometimes, mostly on tracks like (R.I.P) Tide and Pinky, and at other times really chaotic and energetic, à la 2 More Heads_Sprouted! or Saddam Fed Bird While Jailed. It’s really crazy, try
it.
